Things to Know

Try-Outs

Try-outs are scheduled for Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17.  An updated ice schedule has been posted to the website.  A few notes regarding try-outs:

  • Squirts and Peewees are scheduled for a try-out this season.
  • While the other levels do not have a try-out, there are still sessions scheduled for all levels during these days.
  • Outside evaluators will be used.  Level Coordinators will be managing the check-in process and will be available to answer any questions.
  • We will be helping Brainerd with their try-outs the weekend prior and will hear from level coordinators regarding that, if you have not already.

Minnesota Loons Billet Families Needed!

From Craig Larson, GM

Billet Families are an important part of the Junior Hockey experience and good comfortable housing for our players is a priority. The experiences I've had with Billet Families have always been a positive one and I've heard nothing but good things about the families who have housed players in the past.  You can go to our team page and click on this link, to get more information.

https://www.mnloons.com/get-involved/billet-families

If interested, there is a Billet application and we'd need other documents as we move forward, such as background checks, Free USA Hockey registration as a volunteer and filling out a USA Hockey SafeSport application.  All are easy to fill out and we'll be able to verify each one.

You can contact me via email at craig@mnloons.com or Assistant coach Kegan Couture at kegan@mnloons.com.
